Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine -- The University of Maine at Farmington responded to Green Mountain College's game-tying goal with three straight scores to dispatch the Eagles 4-1 in North Atlantic Conference women's soccer action this afternoon at Prescott Field.
The Beavers (4-6-3, 3-3-1) are scheduled to host Bates College Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The Eagles remained winless at 0-8-1 (0-5).
Alida Peake (Penobscot, Maine) and Noelle Moulton (York, Maine) led UMF with a goal and an assist, while Danica Wilson (Sidney, Maine) and Jenna Silliboy (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) each supplied a score. The Beavers outshot Green Mountain 30-3 in the match.
Despite a plentiful amount of opportunities (17 shots), Peake's goal at 22:30 was the only score at intermission as the Beavers held a 1-0 edge.
Erin Burch (Lebanon, Conn.) ended Green Mountain's three-match scoreless stretch at 61:55 to tie the game at 1-1.
Moulton scored off a Peake free kick at 64:46 to put the hosts back into the lead at 2-1. Wilson took advantage of a misplayed ball to give UMF some insurance at 72:02, while Silliboy put in a Jamie McKay (Bar Harbor, Maine) corner kick at 75:26 to complete the scoring for the 4-1 final.
Beth Lebel (Lewiston, Maine) need to make just one save for the Beavers.
Emma Lord (Greenville, N.Y.) stopped 16 shots in the loss.
