Box Score BANGOR -- The fourth-ranked University of Maine at Farmington women's lacrosse was knocked out by No. 1 Husson University 14-2 in the North Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Semifinals today at Boucher Field.
The Beavers capped their season at 2-10, while Husson ran its record to 8-7.
The Eagles were led by Megan Clement (Brunswick, Maine) scored 5 goals on the day, the second of which marked career point number 100 for the senior attacker. First year midfielder Caitlyn Stauffer (Brookfield, Conn.) netted four for the Eagles, while Kim Gambon (Walpole, Mass.) and Stephanie Eaton (Pittston, Maine) had three points apiece on a goal and two assists each.
The Beavers' goals came from Molly Carbin (Scarborough, Maine) and Emma Morrison (Saco, Maine) with Alyssa Neptune (Readfield, Maine) assisting on Carbin's score.
Morrison and Abbey Gilbert (Wilton, Maine) were recognized on the NAC East All-Tournament Team.
In the goalie matchup, Hannah Goodenow (Freeport, Maine) for UMF and Kayleigh Morneau (Twin Mountain, NH) each had 12 saves, but the shot totals favored Husson, putting 26 on net to UMF's 14.
