Women's Lacrosse Named IWLCA Academic Squad, Seven Named to Academic Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The University of Maine at Farmington women's lacrosse team has been named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad for the 2025 season, the association announced earlier this week. This marks the second consecutive season that the Beavers have received the prestigious distinction.

To qualify as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, a program must achieve a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher for the full academic year. The Farmington women's lacrosse team is one of 357 programs across NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA institutions.

In addition to the team honor, the IWLCA also announced the 2025 Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes individual student-athletes. To be eligible, students-athletes must be junior, senior, or graduate students and must have earned a cumulative GPA of a 3.50 or higher.
