GORHAM, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington men's golf team finished 10th at the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic, which concluded Monday at the Gorham Country Club.
Freshman Chris Wallace paced Farmington with a two-day total of 161, following up Sunday's 76 with a round of 85 on Monday. Senior Joe Messerman fired an 82 on Monday, finishing the tournament with a 167.
Simon Rollins carded a two-day total of 175, while Tom Bearor finished with a 178. David Berthiaume rounded out the list of UMaine-Farmington finishers with a 182.
UMaine-Farmington posted a team total of 342 on Monday for a two-day card of 681. UMass-Dartmouth won the event with a 609, led by medalist Brendan Kelleher with a 144. Endicott College was second with a two-day score of 610, while Husson University was third with a 611.
The Beavers wrap up the 2013 season next weekend at the North Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship at the Samoset Resort Golf Course in Rockport, Maine.
