PORTLAND, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington golf team competed this afternoon in the Husky Classic, hosted by the University of Southern Maine at Riverside Golf Course, in what was the Beavers' final regular-season match of the year. Farmington finished the round with its top four scorers combining for a 342 (+54), tying for ninth place.
Southern Maine topped the field on Sunday, shooting an even-par 288. Individually, Jaden Poirier of Southern Maine and Juan Hernandez shared medalist honors, each shooting three under (69).

Beaver Golfers:
In their final tune-up prior to next weekend's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship, the Beavers were led by first-year Caleb Harvey (Bath, Maine), who finished tied for 23rd out of 51 competitors with a 79 (+7). Harvey's round was highlighted by a pair of birdies, including one on the very first hole.
Sophomore Cooper Boinske (Westfield, Maine) had a solid round out of the second spot for the Beavers, carding an 83 (+11) to finish tied for 33rd place. Boinske recorded two birdies on his card—one on the front nine and one on the back. After shooting a 45 on the front, Boinske finished strong with a 38 on the back.
Fellow sophomores Jackson Forrest (Portland, Maine) and Trent Beaudoin (Farmington, Maine) rounded out the scoring for the Beavers. Forrest finished tied for 46th with an 89 (+17), while Beaudoin placed 49th with a 91 (+19). Beaudoin started his round strong, birdieing the par-five first hole.
First-year Gage Suitter (Bath, Maine) also competed for the Beavers, finishing 50th after shooting a 95 (+23).
