Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – The UMaine-Farmington women's soccer team (4-6) scored three unanswered goals Friday night in a 3-1 victory over conference rival Thomas College.
The Beavers won their third game in a row and trail Husson by a game and a half in the NAC standings.
The Terriers grabbed the lead at the 23:57 mark when Kristi Hilton scored her second goal of the season after getting an assist from Bronte Howorth.
UMF answered back in the 57th minute when Sarah Pokorny found the back of the net for her third goal of the season. Bridget Humphrey dished a pass to Pokorny, who evened the score after getting the shot past sophomore keeper Paige Leary.
The Beavers added another goal eight minutes later when Avalon Amador scored her fourth goal of the season. Keli McLellan recorded the assist on the go-ahead goal.
UMF sealed the deal with 40 seconds left when Alexandra Crocker increased her team lead over Amador in goals scored. Crocker scored her fifth goal of the season off Humphrey's second assist of the game, and tonight's goal was Crocker's fourth goal in the past three games.
Sam Hatch recorded one save with two shots on goal. Leary saved six shots for the Terriers.
UMaine-Farmington will travel to Lyndon State on Wednesday to continue conference play.
