GEORGETOWN, Mass. – The UMaine-Farmington golf team finished fifth at the North Atlantic Conference Championship held at the Black Swan Country Club in the team's season finale.
The Beavers shot a 352 on the day and tournament total of 696. UMF battled cold temperatures and 25 mph wind gusts as the team carded eight strokes more than Saturday's round one results. Salem State claimed the title with a tournament best of 625.
Gavin Brickley finished the tournament with a 16th place and carding an 83 each day this weekend for a total of 166. Simon Rollins trailed Brickley by seven strokes and a tie for 21st. Husson's Greg Martin won the event with a 146, beating Maine Maritime's Keenan Kalthoff by three strokes.
The weekend's tournament marks the best finish for the Beavers in a tournament this season.
