BANGOR, ME -- Freshman Gavin Brickley continues his strong play with a 75 and a tie for 11th place after the first round of the Maine Intercollegiate Championship on Saturday.
Brickley is current six strokes off the lead as Husson's Greg Martin leads the field of 54 with a score of 69. Simon Rollins sits in tie for 28th as he finished Saturday with an 81. Aaron Rivard is a stroke behind Rollins and has plenty of competition as he finds himself in a four-way tie for 31st.
The Beavers as a team finished 10th after round one was completed with a team score of 329. The University of Southern Maine and Husson sit atop the leaderboard in a first place tie with a team score of 295.
Round two tee times begin at 10:00am.
