ORONO, ME – The UMaine-Farmington golf team finished ninth at the Husson Invitational on the course of Penobscot Valley Country Club.
Aaron Rivard finished the day with an 87, giving him a 28th place finish. Simon Rollins and Gavin Brickley were a stroke behind Rivard, with an 88 and a tie for 29th along with three other members of the playing field. Husson's Colby Snell won the tournament with a 71, beating his teammate Greg Martin by three strokes.
The Beavers finished ninth overall as a team carding a 361 on the day. Husson completed the invitational with a 310, topping Castleton by four strokes.
UMaine-Farmington will play at the Thomas Classic on Sunday, September. Tee time begins at noon at the Waterville Country Club.
