Golf Finishes Fourth at the John Queenan Memorial Golf Tournament

CASCO, ME – The UMaine-Farmington golf team finished fourth overall at the 2014 John Queenan Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Saint Joseph's Tuesday afternoon with the event taking place at Point Sebago Golf Resort. 

Freshman Gavin Brickley led the Beavers with an 84 on the day, topping his teammate Aaron Rivard by a stroke. Tom Bearor was close behind carding a 90 at the end of the round. Saint Joseph's Mike Caron won the event with a 72. 

UMF finished fourth as a team with a 354, just three stokes away from moving into a third place finish ahead of the University of New England. The University of Southern Maine won the event with a 321, pacing themselves 23 strokes ahead of the second place competitor Saint Joseph's. 

UMaine-Farmington will participate in the University of Southern Maine Cup on Friday, September 26th.
