Box Score BANGOR, Maine – Ashley Gleason (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) recorded her second multi-goal game of the season as the University of Maine at Farmington (6-9-1, 3-4-1) silenced Husson University (6-8-1, 3-4) with a 4-0 North Atlantic Conference win on Tuesday evening at Boucher Field.
Bridget Humphrey (Jefferson, Maine/Erskine Academy) pushed the Beavers into the lead in the 14th minute. Humphrey tallied her eighth goal of the season after getting the assist from Dayle Jordan (Greene, Maine/St. Dominic).
Gleason doubled the Beavers' lead in the 20th minute with her team-leading ninth goal of the season as Humphrey dished the assist.
With the clock approaching twelve minutes remaining in the half, Gleason scored UMF's final goal of the opening period with a penalty kick.
The second half was fairly silent until Katie Clark (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) gave Farmington its final margin of victory in the 77th minute with an unassisted goal.
Kiana Thompson (Industry, Maine/Mt. Blue) recorded her second shutout victory in the last three games as the sophomore saved nine shots.
Despite getting outshot, 20-18, and Husson winning the corner kicks battle, 9-3, the Beavers held the Eagles without a goal for the first time since 2010.
UMaine-Farmington hosts Lyndon State on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the regular season finale.
