FARMINGTON, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team (2-4-1, 0-1-1) stood toe-to-toe with Maine Maritime Academy (1-5-1, 0-1-0) in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference matchup with a , 1-1, double overtime draw.

Ashley Gleason put the Beavers on the scoreboard late in the first half with her fourth goal of the season. Lillian LaRochelle was there to dish the assist.

Maine Maritime answered back, two minutes into the second half, when Susana DeFrank tallied the equalizer. Lauren McKenna passed to DeFrank on her left and DeFrank lined a shot into the back of the net from just inside of the box.

In the extra periods, both defenses were very solid as there were only six combined shots.

Sam Hatch saved 11 shots in the outing for UMF with Maggie McConkey saving recording seven saves for MMA.

UMaine-Farmington travels to Colby on Sunday for a non-conference battle with the Mules.
