Box Score POULTNEY, Vt. - University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer (6-6-0, 4-1-0) dominated play from start to finish in rolling over Green Mountain College (0-10-1, 0-3-1) 9-0 in North Atlantic Conference action on Sunday at Eagle Game Field.
UMF dominated the ball within the Eagles' final third for the majority of the first half, ripping off 36 shots, with only nine falling on frame.
In the 16th minute, the Beavers finally broke through as Hadlee Yescott (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) sprinted onto a ball crossed through the six-yard box from Ashley Gleason (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) and beat the goalie right side after getting past a pair of defenders for a 1-0 lead that would last through halftime.
UMF would continue to pressure the offensive end and it would pay off scoring eight second half goals. Six different players scored for the Beavers. Yescott scored her second goal at 51:16, Katie Clark (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) was credited with the assist. Clark got her own goal at 58:09 to continue the offensive onslaught. Gleason scored at 64:02. Katelyn Macgregor (Readfield, Maine/Maranacook) added two goals, her first two goals of the season. Lydia Roy (Waterville, Maine/Waterville) and Lexi Dube (Mt.Vernon, Maine/Kents Hill) both scored unassisted goals to finish the scoring for the Beavers.
Kiana Thompson (Industry, Maine/Mt.Blue) and Mikayla Cameron (Monmouth, Maine/Monmouth) combined to earn the shutout. The goalkeepers didn't register a save on the day.
UMF outshot Green Mountain 62-0 and won the corners battle 21-0.
UMaine-Farmington will host Colby on Wednesday at Leid Field.
