Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington women's lacrosse (4-7, 2-5) had its Senior Day celebration spoiled with a 14-7 North Atlantic Conference loss at the hands of Colby-Sawyer College (11-6, 7-1) on Saturday afternoon at Prescott Field.
Alaina Shorey (Lebanon, Maine/Noble) and Rhi Jackson (Saco, Maine/Waynflete) guided the Beavers with two goals apiece. Seniors Rebecca Young (Plainfield, N.H./Kimball Union Academy) and Mara Balboni (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) tallied goals for UMF and Carly Raymond (Topsham, Maine/Mt. Aratat) contributed a score as well.
Alyssa Arsenault (Winthrop, Maine/Winthrop) and Danielle Conway (Lakeville, Mass./Apponequet Regional) split time in net for the Beavers. Arsenault stopped a pair of shots in the first half and Conway made seven saves in the second half.
Colby-Sawyer's scoring came from all angles with Nicole Lavigne netting a game-high three goals. The Chargers had five players score a pair of goals, including Lavigne's hat trick.
UMaine-Farmington wraps up the regular season on Monday against Thomas.
