Box Score Plymouth, N.H. – The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team fell in their season opener to Plymouth St. University by a score of 5-0 on Friday afternoon.
UMF started the game off with a quick shot from McKenna Brodeur just 53 seconds into the game. Plymouth St. scored twice in a span of three minutes. The first goal came from Amy Luther with an Assist from Mallory Lloyd. Lloyd followed the assist up with a goal of her own at the 31.54-minute mark.
Six Minutes later, the Panthers scored their third goal of the first half. Lloyd found the back of the net at the 37.05-minute mark coming off an assist from Keegan Burch.
Anna Manuel took a shot two minutes later but it was saved by Leandra Nault.
The Beavers opened the second half with a corner kick seven minutes into the second half. 20 minutes into the second half the Panthers scored their fourth goal coming from Caitlin Catania. Three minutes later, Dehlia Wright scored a goal of her own for Plymouth St.
Kiana Thompson made nine saves while Leandra Nault made two saves. The Beavers had two shots on goal from Anna Manuel and McKenna Brodeur.
UMF will be back in action tomorrow as they will play Regis at 3:30PM.
