Box Score Farmington, Maine – UMaine-Farmington women's soccer team skates past Lyndon State on Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0 on Leib Field in the conference opener for the Beavers.
RECORDS
The Beavers move to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) while the Hornets fall to 0-5 on the year.
IN THE BOX
- The Beavers took a total of 55 shots on the day which gave the Hornets 25 saves total in 90 minutes of action.
- The Beavers took 15 corner kicks which lead to four assists on the seven goals.
- McKenna Brodeur took 14 shots, six on goal with two goals and three assists while Kaiti Kinney took seven shots with five on goal and two goals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
The Beavers got on the board early when Haley Michienzi scored after Brodeur crossed one into the box. 15 minutes later, Brodeur scored a goal of her own with the assist going to Emi Higgins.
Kaiti Kinney got in on the action about six minutes later to make the score 3-0. Lydia Roy scored the fourth goal four minutes after Kinney scored with the assist going to Brodeur.
Five minutes later, Kinney scored her second goal and gave Brodeur her third assist and gave the Beavers a 5-0 lead at half time.
Second Half
43 seconds into the second half, Brodeur scored her second goal of the game. Leah Stevens got in the action with the seventh goal of the game for the Beavers.
