Beavers First Half Surge Falls Short

Castine, Maine – UMaine-Farmington women's lacrosse team held an early lead against Maine Maritime on Wednesday afternoon on Richie Field but Maine Maritime came storming back in the second half to take a 10-7 victory in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action.

IN THE BOX

  • Carly Raymond led the Beavers with four goals and one assist with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
  • Keilly Lynch added two goals with two ground balls with three draw controls. Sierra Gilley added one goal as the Beavers went up early (7-3) in the first half.
  • Heather Boland made four saves in the game as the Beavers as a team took 23 shots and tallied 23 ground balls.
  • Maine Maritime was led by Shelby O'Neil with four goals and two ground balls. Sydney Adams added three goals on three shots with five ground balls.
    Madison Barry added two goals and Madison Savery added one goal. The Mariners took 19 shots and notched 31 ground balls.
