Beavers Score Three in the Second Half for a 3-1 Final

Farmington, Maine – UMaine-Farmington's women's soccer team scored three in the second half to get past Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Leah Stevens got the Beavers on the board at the 52:31 mark with McKenna Brodeur on the assist.
  • Just over a minute later, Diamond Best scored for the Lions to tie the game at one.
  • The game was tied for about the next 20 minutes when Libby Ouellette found the back of the net when Haley Fletcher passed one to the right for Libby to tip past the keeper.
  • McKenna Brodeur put the icing on the cake with a late goal in the final minute.
  • Callie Hammer made eight saves in goal for the Beavers as Sophia Fevola made two saves on five shots for the Lions.
  • The Lions outshot the Beavers 17 to 14 on the day along with seven corner kicks to four.

The Beavers will be on the road this Saturday, September 21st, against Husson at 3:30 PM.
