Mariners Late Goal Pushes them Past UMF

Farmington, Maine – UMaine-Farmington women's soccer team battled Maine Maritime to a final score of 2-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Laura Blue scored early in the opening 48 seconds of the game with Kelsea Anair on the assist.
  • Libby Ouellette tied the game in the second half as McKenna Brodeur set up Ouellette in the middle of the field.
  • Kelsea Anair scored about 5 minutes later off a corner kick that hit Lilah Chaar and Suzanne Wooldridge before finding the back of the net.
  • Callie Hammer started in goal for the Beavers, making eight saves on 10 shots while Emily Conway made four saves on five shots for the Mariners.

UP NEXT

The Beavers will host Thomas College on Tuesday at 3:30 PM.
