Gorham, Maine - UMaine-Farmington women's track & field team took fourth place at the USM Invitational on Saturday afternoon with one school record broken.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Stephanie McLean took 4th in the hammer throw and set the school record with a mark of 32.86m. Emily Hargreaves followed with a throw of 29.86m grabbing 2 points for the Beavers.
• Abbie Hunt took 5th place in the 1500m with a time of 6:02.05, good for 8th all-time at UMF.
• Tabitha Lingar took 1st in the 5000m with an enormous lifetime PR in the 5k with a time of 22:19.23, good for 4th all-time at UMF. She contributed 10 points on the day.
• Cara Perry and Lydia D'Amico both took 4th and 5th in the 400m hurdles scoring 6 points between themselves.
• The women's 4x100m took 4th and scored 4 points with a time of 56.08. Their team of Lenfest, Roberts, D'Amico, and Perry ended up 4th on the all-time list at UMF.
• Abby Minott took 3rd in the long jump and 2nd in the triple jump with marks of 4.39m and 9.62m respectively. She led the Beavers with 14 points on the day.
• In the hammer throw, McLean, Hargreaves, Souza, and Baird had a strong showing taking 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th respectively out of 16 competitors.
