Lewiston, Maine – UMaine-Farmington's track & field teams competed in the NAC East Invitational where the men finished in second out of seven teams and the women took third out of five teams.

The men finished with 140 points with the women finishing with 68 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED – Women

• The women's team finished 3rd out of 5 teams at the NAC East Invitational and had 7 Top-10 performances in school history.
  • Cara Perry came through for the Beavers in the 100m dash running a PR and new school record of 13.57 seconds. She placed 2nd in the event scoring 8 points for the women's squad. She also added a Top-10 performance in the 200m with a time of 30.09 seconds.
  • Abby Minott competed in 5 events for UMF on the day tallying 16 points. She placed 3rd in the triple jump, 4th in the long jump, 4th in the javelin, and 5th in the 400 hurdles. Her marks of 21.62m in the javelin and 1:19.14 in the 400 hurdles were both Top-10 performances in UMF history.
  • Tabitha Lingar had an impressive day in the 5,000m winning the event with a time of 21:34.36. Her performance was a remarkable 45 second PR. 
  • Steph McLean finished 4th in the shot put with a throw of 9.20m. She added 4 points for UMF.
  • The women's 4x100m relay of Tawnee Roberts, Abby Minott, Alyssa Leonard, and Cara Perry ran 55.42 which was good for the 2nd fastest time in UMF history.
  • The women's 4x800m relay of Whitney Durgin, Sarah Chapin, Tabitha Lingar, and Abbie Hunt finished 2nd on the day and scored 8 points for the Beavers.

  The women's side has three graduating seniors: Alyssa Leonard, Stephanie McLean, and Tabitha Lingar. All three contributed to the Beavers' 3rd place finish.
