Men’s Soccer Places Four on NAC All-Conference Teams

WATERVILLE, Maine — The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team had four players named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Conference Team, as announced on Tuesday afternoon. First-year Owen Spera (Gorham, Maine), sophomore JJ Greenlaw (Farmington, Maine), and senior Caelan Billings (Sumner, Maine) were named to the Second Team All-Conference, while first-year Annimer Ibrahim (Lewiston, Maine) earned Third Team All-Conference honors.

Spera, an incredibly fast and powerful athlete, immediately stepped into a starting forward position this season for the Beavers, making an impact from game one by scoring six of Farmington's first eight goals. In his first collegiate game, Spera recorded a hat trick in just 21 minutes to help the Beavers secure a 4–3 victory over Nichols College. In the very next game, Spera scored two more goals in Farmington's 2–2 tie with the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He added a goal against Lasell on September 9th, marking his third straight game with a goal. After battling injuries midway through the season, Spera returned to the scoring column on October 18th against Husson. He added another goal against VTSU Johnson on October 25th in Farmington's 5–1 win as the Beavers clinched a spot in the playoffs. Overall, Spera finished the season with a team-high eight goals and added two assists. He finished tied for seventh in the conference in goals scored and earned two NAC Rookie of the Week honors during the regular season.

Greenlaw, a dynamic and versatile midfielder, earned NAC All-Conference honors for the second straight season after also being named to the Second Team in 2024. Greenlaw improved statistically across the board in 2025, finishing with five goals and three assists after recording one goal and one assist as a freshman. His five goals tied him for second on the team, while his three assists were the second most on the roster. All five of Greenlaw's goals came during conference play, with single-goal performances against VTSU Lyndon, the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Lesley University, Husson University, and VTSU Johnson. Three of those goals came on penalty kicks, where he was a perfect 3-for-3 on the season.

Billings earned All-Conference honors for the first time in his career after anchoring the defensive unit. A fearless, physical, and tough defender, Billings excels in one-on-one situations and in the air. He finished the season with one goal and one assist, primarily playing center back but also stepping into a center defensive midfield role on a few occasions. His lone goal of the season came against VTSU Lyndon in a 1–0 win for the Beavers. Billings' presence on the field extended far beyond the stat sheet, serving as the emotional and vocal leader for a young Beavers team that earned the No. 5 seed in the NAC playoffs.

Like Spera, Ibrahim made an immediate impact for the Beavers. Playing as a winger, he finished the season with four goals and a team-high five assists. Ibrahim also led the team with a pair of game-winning goals. He recorded his first collegiate points on September 3rd against the University of Maine at Fort Kent, assisting Spera. Against VTSU Lyndon on September 16th, Ibrahim scored a goal and added two assists in the Beavers' 10–0 victory. He added a two-point performance against Lesley, scoring a goal and contributing an assist in the 2–2 tie with the Lynx. A skilled and quick player, Ibrahim played a key role on set pieces, often taking corner kicks and free kicks just outside the penalty area.

Senior defender Arden Weaver (Surry, Maine) was named to the NAC Sportsmanship Team. Weaver played in 12 games this season, missing time due to injury, and finished the year with three goals and two assists.
