HENNIKER, N.H. – University of Maine at Farmington sophomore standout Elanore Robb (Woodbury, N.H.) finished with an identical time to Malin Alusic-Bingh of New England College, and the two shared first place in Saturday's giant slalom event at Pats Peak. As a team, the Beavers finished over nine seconds faster than St. Joseph's College of Maine to earn the top spot.
Top Beaver Skiers:
Robb finished with a total time of 1:21.95 to earn a share of the gold medal. She completed her first run in 40.34 seconds, just 0.01 seconds behind Alusic-Bingh. Robb's second run came in at 41.61 seconds.
Hokulani Caroselli (Temple, Maine) also found herself on the podium, finishing third overall with a total time of 1:25.44. Caroselli's two runs were clocked at 42.38 seconds and 43.06 seconds, respectively.
The third Beaver to contribute to the team's placing was first-year Rosie St. Cyr (Pownal, Maine). St. Cyr posted a cumulative time of 1:27.72 to finish in sixth place. Her first run was timed at 43.30 seconds, and her second run came in at 44.42 seconds.
The trio of Robb, Caroselli, and St. Cyr combined to post a time of 4:15.11 in their winning effort.
Senior Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) also placed inside the top ten, earning an eighth-place finish. Mahmood completed her first run in 43.48 seconds and her second run in 44.87 seconds, for a total time of 1:30.35.
