Robb, Caroselli, and St. Cyr to 11th Place Finish in Slalom Championship

BEND, Oregon - The University of Maine at Farmington trio of Elanore Robb (Woodbury, Minn.), Hokulani Caroselli (Temple, Maine), and Rosie St. Cyr (Pownal, Maine) paced the Beavers to an 11th place finish in today's Slalom National Championship.

The three finished with a combined time of 5:11.13 in an extremely competitive field on their way to the 11th place finish.

Robb continued her phenomenal sophomore campaign, placing 33rd overall after posting a two-run time of 1:43.27. Robb was consistent in her two runs, finishing the first with a time of 51.19 seconds and the second run with a time of 52.08 seconds.

Caroselli finished just six tenths of a second behind Robb, finishing with a total time of 1:43.85 en route to a 37th place finish. Caroselli posted a time of 52.12 seconds in her first run before dropping time in her second run and finishing with a time of 51.73 seconds.

St. Cyr finished just 0.16 seconds behind Caroselli, placing in 38th place overall with a total time of 1:44.01. St. Cyr had a pair of strong runs, finishing with times of 52.13 seconds and 51.88 seconds respectively.

Senior Grace Mahmood (Oxford, Conn.) placed 93rd overall, finishing her two runs in 2:04.40 combined. Her first run was clocked at 58.98 seconds while her second came in at 1:05.42. As the fourth ranked Beaver, Mahmood did not contribute to the team's overall time.

Senior Fallon Smith (Nelson, N.H.) finished her first run with a time of 59.51 seconds before registering a DNF in her second run.

Rocky Mountain College topped the field with their three fastest skiers combining for a time of 4:42.16, almost seven seconds faster than any other team

The Beavers compete on Saturday in the Dual Slalom National Championships, wrapping up their week at Mt. Bachelor.
