WATERVILLE, Maine – Three University of Maine at Farmington women's lacrosse standouts have been named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Conference First Team, as announced by the league office this afternoon.
Seniors Abby Trefsger (South Portland, Maine) and Ashlee Farrar (South Paris, Maine) were named First Team All-NAC as a midfielder and defender, respectively, while junior Ruby McMinis (Wells, Maine) was selected First Team All-NAC at attack.
Trefsger, who was a Second Team All-Conference selection in 2024, put together a stellar final season for the Beavers. She started all 13 games and led the team with 37 goals, ranking third in the North Atlantic Conference and shattering her previous career high of 22. She posted a team-high eight goals against New England College on March 4. Trefsger also tied for the team lead with eight assists and finished with 45 points—ranking fifth in the NAC and averaging 3.46 points per game. She was highly efficient, putting 66 of her 80 shots on target for an impressive .825 shot-on-goal percentage. Trefsger added 21 ground balls, 14 caused turnovers, and 35 draw controls. On April 12 at Maine Maritime, she reached a major career milestone by scoring her 100th career point.
Farrar made a smooth transition from midfield to defense in her senior season and proved to be one of the top defensive players in the conference. She started all 13 games and led the team with 21 caused turnovers. Her six caused turnovers against Vermont State Castleton on April 21 were the most by any NAC player in a single game this season. Farrar also contributed offensively with eight goals and five assists (13 points), ranking fifth on the team in goals. She added 28 ground balls, ranking fourth among all Beavers.
McMinis continued to build her legacy with a strong junior campaign. She started all 13 games and finished second on the team with 35 goals, placing fourth in the NAC while averaging 2.69 goals per game. She tied for the team lead with eight assists and totaled 43 points, which ranked second on the team and seventh in the NAC. She led the team with 16 free position goals and was third in ground balls (30). McMinis also tied for the team lead with 49 draw controls, which ranked third in the conference. Like Trefsger, McMinis reached the 100 career point milestone in the April 12 game at Maine Maritime.
