Bloch, Tuttle, and Wrigley Placed on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

FARMINGTON, Maine – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the recipients of the 2025 Baseball Academic All-District honors on Tuesday afternoon, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their performance both on the field and in the classroom. Three University of Maine at Farmington baseball players were selected: senior Lucas Tuttle (Framingham, Mass.), junior Jameson Bloch, and sophomore Ike Wrigley (Farmington, Maine) received the distinguished recognition.

To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or higher. On the field, student-athletes must have competed in 90% of their team's games or started in at least 66% of the total games played. For pitchers, eligibility requires a minimum of 35 innings pitched or appearances in at least 17 games.

Tuttle played a key role primarily out of the bullpen for the Beavers this season. A reliable arm, he made 23 appearances—including one start—in the team's 36 games, setting a program record for most appearances in a single season. The senior logged 33.2 innings, the most of any pitcher on the staff, and posted a 4-1 record. He finished the season with a 5.88 earned run average, allowing 22 earned runs while striking out 15. Tuttle also recorded a 1.90 WHIP and held opponents to a .336 batting average.

A two-way standout, Bloch served as a key bat in the middle of the Beavers' lineup while also making 12 appearances on the mound, including five starts. At the plate, Bloch finished the season with a .250 batting average (30-for-120), tallying 11 doubles, one home run, 15 RBIs, and 20 runs scored. His 11 doubles broke a program record that he now shares with Wrigley, who also finished the season with 11. Bloch posted a .340 on-base percentage, drawing 12 walks and being hit by a pitch six times. On the mound, he was somewhat unlucky in finishing with a 1-4 record despite having the lowest ERA on the team at 4.97 over 29.0 innings pitched. He recorded 16 strikeouts and allowed just 16 runs. Bloch tossed one complete-game shutout in a 1-0 victory over the University of Maine at Presque Isle on April 29 and also earned two saves during the season.

Wrigley took over as the starting center fielder this season and quickly established himself as the Beavers' everyday leadoff hitter. He finished second on the team with a .302 batting average, racking up 38 hits—15 of them for extra bases—including 11 doubles, one triple, and three home runs. Wrigley led the team in runs scored with 30 and was second in RBIs with 17. Defensively, he was solid in the outfield, committing just four errors and recording seven assists.
