WATERVILLE, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington first-year standout
Caleb Harvey (Bath, Maine) earned medalist honors on Thursday afternoon at the Waterville Country Club, carding a five-over-par 75. Harvey finished four strokes ahead of the next closest competitor, but the Beavers came up short in the team standings, finishing 48-over (328) and seven strokes behind Southern Maine Community College.

Harvey turned in a steady round from start to finish, never recording higher than a bogey on his scorecard. He opened with back-to-back pars before birdieing the par-five third hole. After three straight bogeys, Harvey closed the front nine with three consecutive pars to post a two-over 38. On the back nine, he tallied six pars and three bogeys to finish with a 75 and capture the first individual title of his collegiate career.
Sophomore Cooper Boinske (Westfield, Maine) battled through an uneven front nine but rallied on the back. After making the turn at eight-over, Boinske settled in and played his best golf down the stretch, parring six holes and adding a birdie to shoot just two-over on the back nine. He carded an 80 (+10) overall.
Sophomore Trent Beaudoin (Farmington, Maine) delivered his best round of the season, finishing with an 85 (+15). Playing from the four spot, Beaudoin posted six pars on the front nine but was set back by three double bogeys to finish with a 42 (+6). On the back nine, he added three more pars on the way to a 43.
First-year Gage Suitter (Bath, Maine) rounded out UMF's team scoring with an 88 (+18). Suitter got off to a strong start, making par on his first three holes and chipping in for birdie on the par-four fifth, before closing the front nine with a 41 (+5). The back nine proved tougher, as a pair of triple bogeys pushed him to a 47.
Sophomores Jackson Forrest (Portland, Maine) and Joseph Wellman-Clouse (Mount Desert, Maine) also competed for the Beavers but did not contribute to the team score. Forrest finished with a 93 (+23), while Wellman-Clouse shot a 96 (+26).
