CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine - University of Maine at Farmington sophomore Rosie St. Cyr (Pownal, Maine) represented the women's alpine team on Saturday at the USCSA Eastern Regional Championships at Sugarloaf.
St. Cyr technically competed as an unattached athlete due to the Beavers sending just one skier to the regional championship event. Saturday featured the giant slalom, which opened the two-day event, with slalom to follow on Sunday.
St. Cyr was nearly flawless in her two runs, finishing with a combined time of 1:52.17 en route to a 13th-place individual finish. She recorded a time of 54.58 seconds in her first run before completing her second run in 57.59 seconds.
