CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine - University of Maine at Farmington women's alpine sophomore standout Rosie St. Cyr (Pownal, Maine) completed her weekend in incredible fashion, earning 18th place overall in Sunday's slalom event at the USCSA Eastern Regional Championships at Sugarloaf. Overall for the weekend, St. Cyr placed seventh when combining her finishes from Saturday's giant slalom race and Sunday's slalom race.
St. Cyr was flawless in each of her two runs Sunday, finishing her first in 47.12 seconds and her second in 44.15 seconds. She sat in 26th place overall after her first run before blazing through the second course as the 11th-fastest skier on the course. Overall for the day, St. Cyr finished with a combined time of 1:31.27.
After her incredible weekend performance, St. Cyr punched her ticket to the USCSA National Championships, where she will compete as an individual. The USCSA National Championships will take place in Lake Placid, New York, beginning on March 9 and running through March 14.
