WATERVILLE, Maine - University of Maine at Farmington women's lacrosse standouts Emma Dunn (Farmington, Maine) and Skye Cotnoir (West Gardiner, Maine) received North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Athlete of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, as announced by the conference office. Dunn was tabbed the NAC Co-Player of the Week, while Cotnoir earned the NAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Dunn delivered a pair of standout performances a week ago, helping the Beavers to a 1-1 record that included a crucial NAC victory at home against Thomas College. Dunn opened the week with a complete performance, showing up all over the field for the Beavers in a hard-fought 15-12 loss on the road against VTSU Castleton. Dunn did it all, finishing with four goals, two assists, seven ground balls, a career-high six caused turnovers, to go along with four draw controls.
On Saturday against Thomas, Dunn continued to make an impact in all areas of the field to help propel the Beavers to a 10-1 victory. Dunn finished with two goals, a season-high three assists, five ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers.
For the season, Dunn leads the team in ground balls (62), draw controls (50), caused turnovers (27), and assists (14), while ranking second on the team in goals (26).
Cotnoir earned her second career Defensive Player of the Week honor and first of the 2026 season. Cotnoir was fantastic a week ago, making double-digit saves in both games. She opened the week with a 15-save performance at Castleton. The 15 saves for Cotnoir tied a season high, matching her performance on the road at New England College on March 18.
Cotnoir turned in arguably the best performance of her career to lead Farmington to the win over Thomas. She finished with 10 saves, several of which were from point-blank range, while also allowing a season-low one goal. She also contributed two ground balls as the Beavers secured their NAC victory of the season.
Cotnoir has recorded 117 saves this season while boasting a .429 save percentage across 13 starts.
