Bloch, Durrell, and Wrigley Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

FARMINGTON, Maine - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the baseball recipients of Academic All-District honors for the 2026 season on Tuesday afternoon. From the University of Maine at Farmington, senior Jameson Bloch (Attleboro, Mass.) and juniors Hayden Durrell (Madrid, Maine) and Ike Wrigley (Farmington, Maine) each earned the distinguished honor.

To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically while maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.50 or higher. On the field, athletes must also have competed in 90% of their team's games or started in 66% of the team's total games played. For pitchers, they must have pitched at least 35 innings or appeared in 17 games.

Bloch, a two-way standout for the Beavers served as the team's ace on the mound while also routinely hitting in the heart of the order. On the mound, Bloch served as Farmington's work horse, piling up a program single season record, 67.1 innings pitched across 14 appearances. He posted a 4-6 record overall with a 6.28 ERA, striking out a career high 41. When he wasn't on the mound, Bloch saw time at first base, right field, and as the designated hitter. He finished the season with a .267 batting average and a .421 on-base percentage, tallying 32 hits, five doubles, 26 runs batted in, and scoring 32 runs of his own. Bloch graduated last month with a degree in Business Psychology and will be pursuing a Master's Degree beginning in the fall.

Durrell, a junior transfer from Central Maine Community College, instantly saw himself in the lineup everyday this season for the Beavers. Durrell served as a utility player this season for Farmington, making 35 appearances with starts behind the plate, at second and third base. Durrell boasted a .374 on-base percentage and finished the season with 18 hits, 14 RBIs, 23 runs scored, 18 walks, and getting hit by a pitch ten times. A solid defender, Durrell finished with a .975 fielding percentage, throwing out three runners stealing bases this season. He will graduate next spring with a degree in Business Administration.

Wrigley patrolled center field this season for Farmington, starting in all 39 games. He finished the season third on the team with a .274 batting average while also boasting a .375 on-base percentage. Wrigley also finished third on the team with a .768 OPS, finishing the year with 37 hits including nine doubles, two triples, and a home run. Wrigley also finished the season with 31 runs scored, and 28 RBIs which was good for second overall on the team. A threat on the base paths, Wrigley was 10-of-13 stealing bases. Wrigley will graduate next May with a degree in Outdoor Recreation Business Administration.
