FARMINGTON, Maine – A pair of University of Maine at Farmington softball standouts have been named to the Maine Collegiate Baseball & Softball Association (MCBSA) All-State Teams, the organization announced earlier this week. Senior third baseman Maddie Pike (Kennebunk, Maine) earned All-State First Team honors, while junior center fielder Jessica Dow (Saco, Maine) received Second Team recognition.
The duo carried a massive offensive load for the Beavers this season, lifting the team to a 15-19 overall record and a 9-6 mark in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play, securing the fourth seed in the 2026 NAC Tournament. The pair combined to drive in 54 runs this year, accounting for 42% of the team's total runs batted in. Both Pike and Dow previously received NAC First Team All-Conference honors and can now add All-State recognition to their resumes. This marks the second All-State nod for Pike, who was named to the Second Team as a sophomore. Meanwhile, Dow has now earned MCBSA All-State Second Team honors for the third consecutive season.
A four-year starter in the infield for the Beavers, Pike put together arguably the best statistical season of her career this past year. She finished the spring as the team's leading hitter, posting a .425 batting average (45-for-106) alongside a .447 on-base percentage and a .585 slugging percentage. Pike racked up a team-high 11 doubles to go with two home runs, 27 RBIs, and 23 runs scored. For her career, Pike wrapped up her time with the Beavers boasting a .384 batting average and 145 hits, tying the program's all-time record for career hits. She also accumulated 39 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 95 RBIs, and 88 runs scored.
Dow, now a three-time All-State honoree, was an anchor of consistency once again for Farmington. She finished second on the team with a .364 batting average (36-for-99), a .423 on-base percentage, and a team-leading .667 slugging percentage. Dow connected for 10 doubles while leading the roster with four triples and four home runs. She also paced the team with 31 runs scored and matched Pike for the team lead in RBIs, driving in 27 runs across 32 games. On the basepaths, she was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts. Through three seasons, Dow maintains a stellar .395 career batting average and a .434 on-base percentage, having already tallied 98 hits, 20 doubles, four triples, eight home runs, 74 runs, and 66 RBIs.
