KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the recipients of the 2025–26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and the NABC Honors Court on Wednesday afternoon, recognizing outstanding academic achievement by men's college basketball teams and individual student-athletes. The University of Maine at Farmington men's basketball team, along with six of its players, earned these prestigious honors.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards are presented to programs that finished the 2025–26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. To be named to the NABC Honors Court, student-athletes must be of junior standing or above and must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher by the end of the academic year.
From Farmington, Aidan O'Connell (Camden, Maine), Brayden St. Pierre (Readfield, Maine), Charlie Houghton (Dixfield, Maine), Dan Parent (Oakland, Maine), Jason Reynolds (Winslow, Maine), and Mason Desjardins (Jackman, Maine) were recognized on the NABC Honors Court.
O'Connell graduated this past spring, while St. Pierre, Houghton, Parent, Reynolds, and Desjardins will be entering their senior years at Farmington. O'Connell earned a degree in Applied Economics and Public Policy.
In total, the NABC honored more than 2,300 student-athletes across all levels of college basketball. Additionally, nearly 400 programs were recognized with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025–26 season.
