FARMINGTON -- Andrea Tyler (Augusta, ME) scored off an Elyse Cole (Winthrop, ME) assist with 3:55 left to play to lift the University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team to a 1-0 win over Castleton State College in North Atlantic Conference play Sunday at Prescott Field.

The Beavers improved to 8-4 overall and 6-1 in the North Atlantic Conference, while handing the Spartans (10-4, 6-1) their first conference defeat.

UMF held an 11-3 shot advantage and a 13-0 command in penalty corners, but couldn't find the go-ahead goal until Tyler's tally after 66 minutes, five seconds of play.

Kaeleigh Barker (Chichester, NH) registered three saves for the Beavers, who are scheduled to host the University of New England on Tuesday.

Trisha Clark came away with eight stops for the Spartans.
