Field hockey rolls by Thomas

FARMINGTON -- Amanda Fortin (Jefferson, ME) scored two goals and assisted on another as the University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team cruised to a 5-0 win over Thomas College today at Prescott Field.

Andrea Tyler (Augusta, ME), Kristin Chambers (Gorham, ME) and Hattie Agnew (Guilford, ME) each tallied a goal for the Beavers (1-1), who are slated to take on St. Joseph's at home on Tuesday. Ashley Wentworth (North Berwick, ME) and Emma Deans (Gorham, ME) each assisted on a score as UMF outshot the Terriers 22-2.

Kaeleigh Baker (Chicester, NH) made two saves for the Beavers over 59:38 before giving way to Emily Theriault (Wells, ME) to close.

Drielle Mitchell stopped 17 shots for the Terriers, who fell to 0-1.
