WORCESTER, Mass. -- Four different players scored a goal as the University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team blanked Becker College 4-0 in North Atlantic Conference action Saturday.
The Beavers upped their mark to 4-2 and 2-1 in the NAC, while the Hawks dropped to 1-9 (0-4). UMF is scheduled to visit Colby on Wednesday.
Nicole Lyons (Cape Elizabeth, ME), Ashley Wentworth (North Berwick, ME), Andrea Tyler (Augusta, ME) and Alyssa St. Pierre (Jay, ME) each tallied a goal in the win with Bethany Marshall (York, ME) dishing two assists and Kristin Chambers (Gorham, ME) assisting on a score.
Kaeleigh Barker (Chicester, NH) stopped for shots for the Beavers, who held a 21-5 shot advantage and took 11 penalty corners to zero for the hosts.
Ciara Lawrence made nine saves in the loss.
