BOSTON -- Emma Deans (Gorham, ME) scored on a second-half penalty corner to lift the University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team to a 1-0 win over Lasell College today in North Atlantic Conference competition.

The Beavers ran their record to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the North Atlantic Conference. Farmington is scheduled to visit Simmons College on Sunday. The Lasers dropped to 3-5 (0-2).

Deans' goal came 8:27 into the second half. Farmington held a 22-12 advantage in shots and a 12-6 command in penalty corners.

Kaeleigh Barker (Chichester, NH) stopped 10 shots for Farmington.

Christine Thornton recorded 16 saves for Lasell.
