Box Score

BOSTON -- For the second straight game, the University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team needed overtime to earn a North Atlantic Conference victory as the Beavers slipped past Simmons College 2-1 this afternoon.

The Beavers (8-1 overall, 3-0 in the NAC) are slated to visit Bowdoin College on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. start. The Polar Bears are ranked sixth in the most recent National Field Hockey Coaches Association Coaches Poll.

Hattie Laliberte (Guilford, Maine) scored both goals for Farmington. Laliberte's game-winner came off an Emma Deans (Gorham, Maine) pass with seven minutes left in the first overtime.

After a scoreless first half, the Sharks took a 1-0 lead before Laliberte knotted the contest off a feed by Elise Theriault (Winslow, Maine).
