A sizable crowd at Prescott Field watched a fierce back-and-forth game between the Beavers and Sharks that included many nail-biting penalty corners.  It was a tightly played game with only one goal scored at 22:29 by Kashley Weymouth (Gardiner, Maine) assisted by Jessica Martin (Winthrop, Maine).  The UMF Beavers dominated in shots on goal overshadowing Simmons  25-3.  Goalkeeper Renna Smith (Belfast, Maine) made 14 saves for Simmons while UMF's Curran Brierley (East Hampton, NY) made two.

UMF Field Hockey (3-2, 2-0) is looking forward to their next game against Lasell at noon on Sunday September 25 at Prescott Field.
