UMF Field Hockey Defeats Lasell, 6-0

FARMINGTON, Maine -- The University of Maine at Farmington rolled to a 6-0 victory over Lasell College in North Atlantic Conference field hockey action today at Prescott Field. 

A pair of hat tricks by UMF junior Lily Barry(Hermon, ME) and sophomore Kaitlyn Bullen(Farmington, ME) carried the Beavers over the Lasers.    Barry scored the first three goals for UMF which included an assist from senior Annie Agnew(Guilford, ME).  Bullen followed up with three goals of her own with Barry and sophomore Kashley Weymouth(Pittston, ME) picking up assists.

UMF goalies Curran Brierley(East Hampton, NY) and Felisha Taylor(Chelsea, ME) split time in net to earn the shutout for the Beavers.  Lasell goalie Christine Thornton(Canton, MA) made 12 saves for the Lasers.

UMF out shot Lasell 42-3 and held a 15-4 advantage in penalty corners. The Beavers return to action Wednesday when they host the University of New England.  The Lasers return to action on Wednesday when they host Becker College.
