The Beaver won the opening game of the series in 2011, but have dropped the last two games since then.
SCOUTING THE PILGRIMS
NEC is riding a four-game win streak with four straight shutouts and five of the last six games. The four-game win streak is also a four-game conference win streak and the Pilgrims' only conference loss came on September 27th at Colby-Sawyer.
Sebastian Andersson leads the team with 10 goals and 23 points, which is tied for third in the NAC. Mark Nowak ranks as one of the best goalkeepers in the conference as well with only nine goals allowed, one behind the conference lead. LAST MEETING WITH THE CHARGERS
The Chargers scored a goal n the 69th minute to sink the UMF efforts for a comeback on their way to a, 2-1 win.
Chris DiCecca scored the game's first goal in the 31st minute. The ball was pin-balling between several players in the box when DiCecca was able to get a shot off and score his second goal of the season.
UMaine-Farmington knotted the score early in the second half when sophomore Ibrahim Achekh sent a ball towards the Colby-Sawyer net that the goalie could not handle. The goal was Achekh's team leading third of the season.
