Box Score 2 Clermont, Fla. - UMaine Farmington drops heart breaking loss against Suny Potsdam in Clermont Florida on Monday afternoon but a score of 6-5 in the first game of the double header. The Beavers also lost the second game by a score of 15-1.

The Beavers fell to 1-4 overall while Suny Potsdam moved to 3-1 on the year.
GAME 1
- Amber Grady led the Beavers at the plate, going 2-3 with a RBI and a walk while Margaret Fogarty went 2-4 with two RBI's.
- Skyler Watson pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 10 hits, six runs, three earned runs with three walks and five strikeouts.
- Jordan Ott went 3-4 at the plate for Suny with two runs while Day Stevens went 2-4 with two RBI's.
- Megan Fish was awarded the win, pitching 3.2 innings, giving up five hits, three runs, one earned run with two walks and three strikeouts. Meghan Dougherty pitched 3.1 innings giving up five hits, two earned runs with two walks and one strikeout.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Suny got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when Megan Fish singled through the right side, which scored Jordan Ott. The Beavers settled down after the early run and held the Bears off the scoreboard for the next three innings.
In the top of the fourth, the Beavers scored two runs to take a 2-1 lead. Mikayla Cameron singled up the middle, which scored Alyssa Dillan. Alison Hamilton then singled to left field which Kayln Grover.
In the bottom of the fifth, Megan Fish singled up the middle, which scored Jordan Ott again followed by Laurne Brace singling to the pitcher to score Lucy Condon. The Bears led the Beavers going into the seventh 3-2.
UMF battled back in the top of the seventh when Megan Forgarty singled, scoring Alyssa Dillan and Elizabeth Walker on the play. Amber Grady came to the plate with two runners on and two outs. Grady singled to the right side to score Forgarty and give the Beavers a 5-3 lead.
The Bears did not go down without a fight. The first two batters went down quick with a strikeout and a ground out. Lauren Brace started it off by reaching first on a muffed throw by the first basemen. Day Stevens then singled up the middle followed by a walk, which loaded the bases.
Emma McCarthy reached on a big error by the right fielder which scored the first run for the Bears as Brace scored. Kolbi Lyon then reached first on an error by the shortstop, which brought up Brooke Falsion, who singled up the middle to give the Bears the 6-5 win.
GAME 2
- Kiana Thompson led the way for the Beavers with two hits while Alyssa Dillan and Alison Hamilton each had one.
- Anastasia Albright pitched 2.2 innings giving up 11 hits, 5 runs, three earned runs with one walk and one strikeout. Kailyn Hill pitched 4.1 innings, giving up 10 hits, 10 runs, five earned runs with one walk and three strikeouts.
- Emma McCarthy led the Bears with four hits in five plate appearances with two RBI's while Jordan Ott went 4-1 with two RBI's and one run.
- Brooke Falsion went 3-4 with three runs and one RBI. Alissa McCauley pitched seven innings with five hits, one earned run, two walks and five strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UMF held the Bears scoreless for the first two innings. In the top of the third, Suny opened up the game with five runs. Chelsea Streeter started it off with a homerun to center followed by a single and a walk.
Angela Yodis then singled to score McCarthy followed by Falsion single to score Hyland. Condon then reached on an error, which scored Yodis.
In the top of the fourth, Emma McCarthy homered to center to give the Bears a 6-0 lead. Condon then scored when McCauley reached first on an error by the shortstop.
Alison Hamilton started the bottom of the sixth off with a double to left center followed by a Thompson single, which scored Hamilton. In the top of the seventh, the Bears opened the game up with eight runs on eight hits and two errors. The Beavers fell to the Bears by a score of 15-1.
