Box Score 2 Farmington, Maine – UMaine Farmington fell to New England College on Saturday afternoon at Hippah Field in a double header by a score of 8-4 and 18-9 in North Atlantic Conference action.

The Beavers are now 5-24 overall and 5-15 in the NAC while the Pilgrims move to 18-18 overall and 10-10 in conference play.
Game 1
The Beavers fell in game one by a score of 8-4. Justin Rodrigue started in the game, going 2.1 innings while allowing six earned runs with a walk and three strikeouts. Patrick Fallon came in for 1.2 innings, giving up one hit which was a homerun. Ryan Camire threw two innings, giving up two hits and one run while Ethan Nash threw one innings, giving up two hits and a walk.
Derek Bowen went 2-3 with a double to right field in the bottom of the sixth that scored Mark Leahy. Jake Bessey also went 2-3 with a run while Riley Chickering went 1-3 with a homerun, two RBI's and a run.
Vincent Backert threw all seven innings for the Pilgrims, allowing seven hits and three earned runs with three strike outs. Luis Atiles went 3-4 with two RBI's and two runs along with Evan Delaney who went 1-3 with two RBI's and two runs. Vincent Backert whoe also went 2-4 with two RBI's and a run.
Game 2
UMF fell in game two by a score of 18-9. Kevin Carter started on the mound for the Beavers, going 3.2 innings and giving up seven earned runs on six hits and six walks. Tyler Flyhan came in for 2.1 innings, giving up three hits and two earned runs and three walks. Chad Snowman was tagged with the loss, after throwing one inning, giving up one earned run.
Derek Bowen went 2-5 with two homeruns, five RBI's and two runs while Jordan Croteau went 2-4 with two RBI's. Mark Leahy went 2-4 with one RBI and two runs.
Stanley Vargas threw 6.2 innings, giving up 11 hits and eight earned runs with nine strikeouts. Jameson Carey was awarded the win after throwing 1.1 innings and only walking one.
The Beavers tied the game in the bottom of the seventh at nine when Croteau doubled down the left field line to score Ethan Gouin and Riley Chickering but things fell apart in the top of the eighth as the Pilgrims scored nine runs to take the 18-9 victory
