Senior Day Spoiled

Farmington, Maine – UMaine Farmington dropped a pair on senior day to New England College on Sunday in a North Atlantic Conference action by a score of 12-6 and 13-3.

Records

The Beavers fall to 5-26 overall and 5-17 in the NAC while the Pilgrims move to 20-18 overall and 12-10 in conference play.

Game 1 NEC 12, UMF 6

Nate Pushard started on the mound for the Beavers, going three innings, giving up seven hits and seven earned runs with one walk and one strikeout. Patrick Fallon threw three innings, giving up six hits and five earned runs while Rayn Camire threw one inning, giving up no runs, no hits with one walk.

The Beavers managed to get five hits, Trevor Hisler, Mark Leahy, Riley Chickering, Jordan Croteau and Chad Snowman each had hits in the game. Mark Leahy and Derek Bowen tallied an RBI along with Croteau while Peter Doucette had two RBI's.

Raymond Rosado was awarded the win for the Pilgrims after throwing four innings, giving up four hits and two earned runs with two walks and five strikeouts. Jameson Carey threw three innings, striking out four and walking three.

Evan Delaney went 3-4 with two RBI's and three runs while Vincent Backert went 2-3 with three runs and a homerun. Conor Crouse went 2-4 with two RBI's and two runs.

The Pilgrims tallied a total of 13 hits and 12 runs.

Game 2 NEC 13, UMF 3

Chase Malloy started on the mound for the Beavers, going four innings, giving up 10 hits with six earned runs and three strikeouts. Gage Cote threw one inning, walking three and giving up one earned run. Ethan Nash threw two innings, giving up two runs, no earned runs with one strikeout.

Derek Bowen went 2-4 with an RBI and a run while Ethan Gouin went 2-2 with an RBI. Tyler Flayhan went 1-3 with an RBI while Trevor Hisler went 2-3 on the day.

Jeam Castillo went the distance, throwing seven innings, giving up 10 hits, three runs with one earned to go along with seven strikeouts. Vincent Backert went 3-3 with three RBI's while Evan Delandey went 2-4 with a homerun and three RBI's.
