Leesburg, Fla. – UMaine-Farmington's softball team opened their season today with a non-conference matchup against Endicott College Gulls with a 9-3 loss.

IN THE BOX

• Kayleigh Oberg started behind the plate for the Beavers and notched one hit and one RBI on the day while Margaret Fogarty tallied one RBI.
• Ashley Gleason also notched an RBI while Brianna Dugan tallied the first hit of her career.
• As a team, the Beavers tallied four hits and three RBI's.
• Danielle Stratton, Jamie Hopgood, Emily Sharpe, Hayley Arduini and Madison Mucci each tallied two hits in four trips as Mucci knocked in five runs.
• The Gulls had a total of 12 hits and nine RBI's.
