Farmington, Maine – UMaine-Farmington dropped two tough games to Castleton on Friday afternoon by final scores of 3-2 and 10-2 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action.

Game One (L, 3-2)

• The Beavers tallied seven hits on the day with Margaret Fogarty and Brianna Dugan each going 2-3. Dugan notched two RBI's for the Beavers.
• Kiana Thompson went 1-4 while Leah Stevens went 1-3 at the plate. Callie Hammer tallied one hit.
• Kailyn Hill started on the mound for the Beavers, going six innings, giving up six hits and three runs with two strikeouts.
• Rachel Mirel went 2-3 for the Spartans with one RBI while Tori Swaine and Calli Van Gorden each went 1-3 with an RBI.
• Taylor Paquette went seven strong innings, giving up seven hits, two runs with four strikeouts.

Game Two (L, 10-2)

• Kiana Thompson went 2-3 with an RBI while Brianna Dugan went 1-2 with a run. Margaret Fogarty notched one RBI for the Beavers.
• Brianna McGrath went 3.1 innings, giving up nine hits, six runs with one strikeout.
• Timi Carone went 3-3 for the Spartans with three RBI's and two runs while Sara Baker went 2-3 with two RBI's and two runs.
• Tori Swaine went 2-3 with three RBI's and a home run.
• Rachael McCormick went three innings, giving up three hits and one earned run while striking out two. Taylor Paquette went two innings, giving up two hits and struck out two Beavers.
