Bangor, Maine – UMaine-Farmington's field hockey team dropped their conference opener by a final score of 4-1 against Husson University.

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Eagles outshot the Beavers 20-8 on the day along with 10 penalty corners to the Beavers seven.
• The Beavers had 14 saves on the day as the Eagles had five.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Arika Brochu scored first for the Eagles on an assist to Kelly Griffin to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.
• Kyla Sturtevant scored less than a minute later with the assist to Torrie Nightingale.
• Haley Ward scored the next three goals for the Eagles to give Husson the 4-1 victory.
