Field Hockey Falls to Thomas

WATERVILLE, Maine - UMaine-Farmington field hockey dropped a non-conference game to Thomas College 7-0 in Waterville.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After a scoreless first quarter, Thomas scored twice in the second quarter to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
  • Haley Thebarge and Britney Gregoire scored for Thomas.
  • Thomas added four goals in the third to extend the lead for the Terriers. Kelci Faulkingham scored twice in that time.
  • Faulkingham added her third goal of the game in the fourth to record the hat trick.
  • Alex Bessey and Abby Pomerleau had the only shots on goal for the Beavers.

INSIDE THE BOX

  • Thomas held the advantage in shots 16-7 and in penalty corners 13-6
  • Katelyn Rouleau made three saves on nine shots and Thomas goalie Alexis Bowman made two saves on two shots.
  • Thomas improves to 4-5 and UMF drops to 0-8 on the season.

UP NEXT

UMF will play its ninth road game traveling to Dean College on Saturday for their NAC opener.  Game time is 2:00 pm.
