Beavers Bend Against Huskies

Gorham, Maine – UMaine-Farmington's field hockey team was edged out by the University of Southern Maine by a final score of 2-0. UMF falls to 0-3 on the year while the Huskies move to 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Samantha Ellis scored her second goal of the season early in the first quarter on an unassisted goal.
  • Abbie Staples scored the second goal late in the fourth quarter after a pass from Mikayla Bourassa to make the score 2-0.
  • Emily Tolman took three shots for the Beavers while Kasey Talarico took two shots. Elizabeth Ouellette and Alex Bessey each took one shot.
  • The Beavers split time in goal with Grace DiMarco starting, giving up one goal. Katelyn Rouleau played the second half, making five saves with one goal given up.
  • Lindsay Pych saw five shots on goal making all five saves for the Huskies.

UP NEXT

The Beavers will play their Alumnae game on Saturday starting at 2:00 PM followed by a game at Salem St. on Tuesday, September 10th at 4:00 PM.
