Beavers Sweep Double-Header at Thomas

Waterville, Maine – UMaine-Farmington's baseball team took the final two games from Thomas College on Monday afternoon with a 6-5 win in game one and a 17-6 win in game two to close out the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) series.

Game One (W, 6-5, 9-innings)

  • Hunter Labossiere went 2-4 at the plate with three RBI's and one run with a home run while Jordi Valls picked up the win on the mound and went 1-2 with one RBI at the plate.
  • Aric Belanger went 2-4 at the plate with two runs and Jonny Pruett went 2-4 with one RBI and a run.
  • Chris Albert went seven strong innings, giving up eight hits and five runs with five strikeouts while Valls threw two innings with three strikeouts.
  • Kyle Gleason went 3-4 at the plate with two RBIs for the Terriers with Devin Grindle Bradly Smith, and Jacob Lacroix each notched an RBI.
  • Ryan Scepansky threw nine innings for the Terriers, giving up 11 hits and five earned runs.

Game Two (W, 17-6)

  • Riley Bartell went 3-4 at the plate for the Beavers with five RBIs and two runs with Ryan Simard going 1-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
  • Hunter LaBossiere went 2-4 with two RBIs and one run with Tyler Lambert going 2-5 with two RBIs and two runs.
  • Ryan Sargent went 4-4 at the plate with a run as Noah Oufiero went 2-5 with two RBI followed by Danny Terhune and Jonny Pruett who both had one RBI.
  • Riley Bartell started on the mound for the Beavers, going five innings, giving up six hits and four earned runs. Brice Springer went two innings, giving up four hits and two earned runs.
  • Jacob Lacroix threw four innings, giving up 10 hits and five earned runs, Ethan Lachance threw 0.1 innings, giving up three runs. Chandler Moran did not record an out and gave up two runs. Andrew Pruell threw 0.2 innings followed by Evan McLean who also did not record an out and gave up three runs. Matt Hurley and Hunter Glowa finished the game with Hurley giving up two runs.
  • Lacroix notched three RBIs after going 1-3 at the plate.

UP NEXT

The Beavers will be back in action on Thursday against NVU-Lyndon with a 3:30 PM start time.
